Around 2005, while Viper was studying for his master's degree in business, he supposedly set himself a task of composing 1000 beats in three months. It is unknown whether he achieved this goal, but this experiment yielded material that was worked into his early releases throughout the 2000s, the first of which being Ready and... Willing, his second album.
From the first track, there are hazy, static reversed beats and the atmosphere of thick clouds present. In retrospect, it can be said the sound of Ready and... Willing came out of completely nowhere, arguably creating cloud rap in one fell swoop half a decade before everyone else.
